Philadelphia will host the 2016 Democratic National Convention, the Democratic National Committee announced Thursday. New York City and Columbus, Ohio, were the two other finalists angling to host the quadrennial presidential nominating event, which will be held the week of July 25, 2016. The GOP previously revealed it will host its convention in Cleveland the week of July 18, 2016.
