The Akron RubberDucks, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, announced Wednesday that they will host a "Brian Williams' Pants-on-Fire Night" on April 27. Timed to coincide with National Tell a Story Day (get it?), the event will include a pant-burning ceremony and a fan named Brian Williams reading tall tales to the crowd.
"We thought this would be a fun, tongue-in-cheek night for our fans," RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander, who assumed people will still care about an inside baseball news story in two-plus months, said.
