Americans consider Russia our greatest enemy today
Since 2012, Americans' perception of Russia as a critical threat the national security has changed significantly; and the northern giant now tops the list of perceived national enemies:

While recent diplomatic conflict between the United States and Russia over Ukraine may be stoking old Cold War fears, it is worth remembering that the annual American military budget is more than seven times as large as Russia's; and its accumulated military power is even more unparalleled. Perhaps the two percent of Americans who think we're our own worst enemy are on to something?
