Arizona's Kevin Newman capped a ludicrous walk-off win for the Wildcats on Saturday with one of the rarest plays in baseball: A straight steal of home.
Trailing by one run against Rice heading into the ninth inning, Arizona tied things up and then put runners at second and third with two outs. With a lefty at the plate and the pitcher not bothering to look him back to the base, Newman saw an opening and went for it, diving into home as the ball squirted loose.
Safe. Ballgame over. Everybody go crazy. —Jon Terbush
