John Travolta finally explains last year's Idina Menzel flub, blames Goldie Hawn

In his bit with Idina Menzel at Sunday's Academy Awards, "apparently I played with her chin too much," John Travolta told Jimmy Kimmel in his post-Oscars Jimmy Kimmel Live. "You can never play with a woman's chin too much," Kimmel assured him, hopefully in jest.

But that was prelude to Travolta finally coming clean about why he so famously mangled Menzel's name at last year's ceremony. It's a long story involving a page trapped in an elevator, Goldie Hawn's lips, and a change in the teleprompter. Is is plausible? Well, why not? But Menzel holds no ill-feelings, Travolta said, since the past year has been the best in her life. Watch Travolta's story below. —Peter Weber
