A gunman who opened fire on Tuesday in an eastern Czech Republic restaurant killed eight people before killing himself, marking the worst shooting incident in the nation's history. Authorities have yet to identify the shooter or offer a potential motive for the attack.

"Nobody believed anything like that could happen in such a small town," said Patrik Kuncar, mayor of Uhersky Brod, where the shooting took place.—Jon Terbush
