Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer is stuck on a cruise ship with 2,500 Ohio State fans
Nightmares really do come true.
An annual Ohio State fundraising cruise is lasting a bit longer than expected, because a patch of fog in the Gulf of Mexico is keeping the Royal Caribbean ship from docking as scheduled in Tampa. Thus, head football coach Urban Meyer, who was supposed to bid farewell to 2,500 Ohio State fans when the cruise ship docked on Monday, could be floating with them for several more hours (the fog is supposed to lift on Tuesday night, NBC Sports notes).
"We are good. No worries," Meyer texted The Columbus Dispatch. "However, we are ready to get home."

Hey, at least Meyer is there after the Buckeyes soundly won the inaugural College Football Playoff championship — can you imagine what those extra hours could have been like otherwise?
