Disney is bringing back DuckTales
The beloved Disney animated series DuckTales aired its last new episode in 1990, but if you miss seeing the Duckburg gang solve a mystery or rewrite history, here's some long-anticipated news: Disney is reviving DuckTales for a string of all-new episodes.
The new DuckTales will premiere on Disney XD in 2017. A press release, citing the original show's "special place in Disney's TV animation history," promises the return of central character Scrooge McDuck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, alongside supporting characters like Launchpad McQuack, Gyro Gearloose, Magica DeSpell, and the Beagle Boys.
No word on if they'll be using the same theme song — but come on, how can they not? Sing along, everybody. —Scott Meslow
