In a video posted on Tuesday, Islamic State militants appear to execute Mohamed Said Ismail Musalam, a Palestinian man whom ISIS accuses of working as an agent of Mossad, Israel's intelligence service. In the video, a boy makes a statement in French and then shoots Musalam. Israel's foreign ministry had no comment on the video, but Musalam's father tells The Associated Press that ISIS was just looking for an excuse to kill Mohamed.
Mohamed Musalam left to fight with ISIS without telling the family, Said Musalam told AP, but then contacted the family and said he wanted to come home. A month later, someone called and said Mohamed had been caught trying to flee into Turkey. ISIS "did not want to let him leave because if he comes back, he might be caught by the Israelis and tell them what he had seen," Said Susalam said. "I know my son. I raised him well.
