In a recent interview, Pope Francis said that as much as he enjoys being pontiff, he really misses being able to head down to the local pizzeria to pick up a pie. A pizza maker decided to make a special delivery to the pope as he made his way through the streets of Naples on Saturday in the popemobile: His very own pie featuring toppings that match the yellow and white colors of the Vatican — yellow cherry tomatoes and mozzarella di bufala. "We just wanted to give our passion of pizza to the pope," Roberto Biscardi told NBC News.

Biscardi never thought his friend, Enzo Cacialli of Pizzeria Don Ernesto, would be able to get the pizza to Francis, but "the bodyguard at some point realized our good intentions and invited Enzo to approach," he said. "We are very religious here. And for us the pope is someone truly special."
