Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) hates ObamaCare so much he triggered a government shutdown in a failed bid to thwart it. However, the 2016 presidential candidate says he now plans to obtain health insurance through the law he's vowed to kill.
"We will presumably go on the exchange and sign up for health care and we're in the process of transitioning over to do that," Cruz told The Des Moines Register Tuesday. He later echoed those remarks in an interview with CNN, adding, "I believe we should follow the text of every law, even [a] law I disagree with."
Cruz and his family need new coverage because his wife, Heidi, is going on unpaid leave to go on the campaign trail.
