Saudi Arabia launches military operations in Yemen

The Saudi ambassador to the United States announced Wednesday that Saudi Arabia has launched military operations in Yemen, with more than one city being targeted.

"We are determined to protect the legitimate government of Yemen," Adel Al-Jubeir told reporters at a news conference. On Wednesday morning, rebels captured parts of the port city of Aden and the al-Anad air base, CNN reports. On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia moved heavy military equipment and artillery to its border with Yemen.
