President Obama issued an executive order Wednesday to ban discrimination against LGBT employees of companies that contract with the government, and now it appears he's "leading by example" to protect workers within his own home.

White House spokesman Jeff Tiller said a new all-gender bathroom will open in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, where much of the White House staff works, to "provide guests and staff an additional option."

"The White House allows staff and guests to use restrooms consistent with their gender identity, which is in keeping with the administration's existing legal guidance on this issue," Tiller said.
