Fox is creating a TV version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show
Continuing the trend of cult classic revivals, Fox has decided to cash in on the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Fox is planning to make a new TV movie of the beloved musical, but it won't be filmed live, as NBC's recent TV musicals have been. EW reports that Lou Adler, the original film's producer, will be involved in the production, which will "stick to the text of the original 1973 play."
Fans of the original Rocky Horror Picture Show might be skeptical about a reboot. But Fox's version will be directed, executive produced, and choreographed by Kenny Ortega, whose recent film credits include High School Musical, so what could go wrong?
