John Dickerson will replace Bob Schieffer as the host of CBS's Sunday morning news show Face The Nation when Schieffer retires this summer.

"John, we're proud to have you," the 78-year-old Schieffer said in announcing his replacement for the show he has hosted for a quarter-century.

Currently the political director for CBS News and a political correspondent for Slate, Dickerson has appeared on the show 83 times, according to Schieffer's count. —Jon Terbush
