Hillary Clinton jovially welcomes Bernie Sanders to the race

As of Thursday morning, there are officially two participants in what had been a one-(wo)man race for the Democratic nomination. "It probably would not be a good idea for people to underestimate me," Sen. Bernie Sanders said in a speech announcing his run. Hillary Clinton doesn't seem phased.

While it's tempting to read into those 140 characters — Is that the hunger of a wolf anticipating its prey? The excitement of a debate nerd setting up her rebuttal? — it's also just one political tweet among thousands, a staggering 557 days before the 2016 presidential election.
