Golf has been waiting for a product like the GolfBoard ($6,500). Designed by surfer Laird Hamilton and Bally Total Fitness founder Don Wildman, this personal transport device allows a player to "surf the earth" while playing a round, because you steer it by shifting your weight side to side, and the four turf tires hug the surface without tearing up the Bermuda grass. The GolfBoard doesn't promise to improve your game. But "it's so much fun that you won't mind if you don't hit the ball straight," says Ron Kantowski at Las Vegas Review-Journal. "In fact, you might even hit it into the rough or onto an adjacent fairway on purpose."
