Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Sunday struggled to offer a clear answer to persistent questions about his seemingly fluctuating position on the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

In an interview with Fox News' Chris Wallace, Rubio repeatedly said it was "not a mistake" to invade Iraq. But when pressed about inconsistencies in his past statements on the issue, Rubio grasped for words, refuted the premise of Wallace's questions, and offered up vague eplanations about "the way the real world works." —Jon Terbush
