President Obama has joined Twitter for real this time

Seems like the president himself isn't immune to the delays of Washington bureaucracy. Six years into his presidency, Barack Obama has finally been granted his own personal Twitter account:
But wait, you might be thinking, who's the @BarackObama I have been following for all these years? As the White House explains, the new @POTUS account will be run directly by Obama, while the previous account is run by Obama's Organizing for Action nonprofit (as noted in the account's bio).
As for how the president describes himself? "Dad, husband, and 44th President of the United States." No signs of the descriptors "socialist," "Muslim," or "foreign-born hack" yet, but it's still early, and we all know politicians can eventually get a little too honest on Twitter.
