David Letterman's favorite band is... Foo Fighters?
The Foo Fighters will be David Letterman's final musical guest on the Late Show.
The Dave Grohl-led power-rock band is reportedly Letterman's favorite band. Some background from Rolling Stone:
In February 2000, Letterman underwent emergency quintuple bypass surgery following a heart attack. After being sidelined for five weeks, the host asked Foo Fighters to appear on his first post-surgery show to perform "Everlong," their single that was instrumental in the host's recovery. Introducing the Foo Fighters for that performance, Letterman said "my favorite band playing my favorite song." [Rolling Stone]
Other musical guests in his final week included Tom Waits and Bob Dylan.
