A woman was struck in the face by a shard from a broken bat at Boston's Fenway Park on Friday night, the Boston Globe reports. Oakland Athletics batter Brett Lawrie broke his bat in the second inning. The barrel flew near the visitor's dugout, hitting the unidentified woman.
The woman is hospitalized with what Boston police called life-threatening injuries, Boston.com reports.
