When it comes to programming popular movies, TV networks can get so preoccupied with whether or not they can that they don't stop to think if they should. With Jurassic World just a few days away, many networks have capitalized on the renewed interest in the franchise by airing the original Jurassic Park, over and over again, in a repetitive loop.
But if you're sick of flipping through dinosaur after dinosaur on channel after channel, you're not alone. Even Joe Mazzello — who played Tim Murphy in the original Jurassic Park — wants the Jurassic Park-happy networks to cool it a little:
Don't worry, Joe — once the wave of hype for Jurassic World is over, they'll probably go right back to airing The Shawshank Redemption four times a day.
