It's no Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?, but it'll do: The trailer for Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s made-for-TV movie, A Deadly Adoption, has been released, and it couldn't get more Lifetime-y if it tried.
In the super short clip, Wiig is shown with a gun, and co-star Jessica Lowndes is driving a truck that's headed straight for a bearded Ferrell, who is standing in the middle of the road. It ends with Ferrell telling Lowndes, "You really are a strange girl," and then giving a rueful chuckle.
For those scratching their heads at the words "Kristen Wiig," "Will Ferrell," and "Lifetime": News of the film became public on April 1. At the time, executive producer Ferrell said the movie was finished but would never be released, Variety reports. It now has a premiere date — June 20 — but only Wiig and Ferrell know if it's an actual made-for-TV movie or an elaborate send-up of a clichè-ridden genre.Catherine Garcia
