CVS is buying Target pharmacies for $1.9 billion

CVS will buy Target's pharmacies for $1.9 billion, the nation's second-biggest drugstore chain announced Monday in a news release.

All new Target stores will include CVS pharmacies, Reuters reports. CVS will also acquire Target's more than 1,600 existing pharmacies across 47 states, in addition to its nearly 80 clinics. The chain will also open up 20 new clinics inside Target stores within three years.
