Despite the fact that the search for Richard Matt and David Sweat, the convicted murderers who escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility on June 6, has expanded in recent days, state police say there is "no hard evidence" that the pair has left Dannemora, the town surrounding the prison.

Roving patrols in Dannemora have quadrupled and officers continue to search the "hundreds, if not thousands" of hunting cabins in the area. Over 800 personnel are working on the case.
