Report: 8 people shot in Charleston, South Carolina, church

Reports out of Charleston, South Carolina, say eight people were shot at the Emanuel AME Church on Wednesday night.

No deaths have been reported, and police spokesman Charles Francis said officers are looking for a suspect described as being a slender, 21-year-old white male wearing a grey sweatshirt/hoodie and jeans with Timberland boots. The pastor of the 150-year-old church is Democratic State Sen. Clementa Pinckney, 41. A member of the State House Democratic caucus told the Post and Courier that Pinckney was in the church during the shooting.
