Alleged Charleston shooter Dylann Roof's prison neighbor is Michael Slager, the alleged killer of Walter Scott

The Post and Courier confirms that alleged church shooter Dylann Roof is being held in a Charleston County jail cell adjacent to officer Michael Slager, who was indicted for shooting Walter Scott, an unarmed black man, earlier this spring.
The Post and Courier also reports that a bomb threat aimed at the Morris Brown AME Church yesterday came from the Charleston County jail. The caller said that 80 grams of military-grade HMX were going to be detonated, and made sexual comments to the dispatcher.
Ninth Circuit Public Defender Ashley Pennington has said he will represent Roof, who was charged earlier today with nine murder counts and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. At his bond hearing, Roof's first court date was set for October 23.
