Escaped inmate David Sweat shot, captured near Canadian border

Multiple officials have confirmed escaped convicted murderer David Sweat has been shot twice in the torso near the Canadian border and taken into custody. Sweat was unarmed when he was shot, The New York Times reports.
"The nightmare is finally over," said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a news conference.
Authorities shot and killed fellow Clinton Correctional Facility inmate Richard Matt on Friday. The manhunt started when the inmates, allegedly with the help of a prison worker, escaped using power tools three weeks ago.
