Comics legend Berkeley Breathed is reviving Bloom County — and he's already targeting Donald Trump

After 25 years, comics legend Berkeley Breathed is returning to his most famous creation. Bloom County — the beloved newspaper comic that satirized American politics and culture using a wide array of colorful characters — will return, Breathed announced in a Facebook post on Sunday:

A return after 25 years. Feels like going home.Posted by Berkeley Breathed on Sunday, July 12, 2015
Though he ended Bloom County in 1989, Breathed previously expanded the comic's universe with the spin-off strips Outland and Opus. Why return to the flagship series now? According to a Facebook post by Breathed, he "can't precisely deny" that Donald Trump's presidential campaign had nothing to do with it.
