Republican presidential hopeful and billionaire Donald Trump hit back hard in his ongoing tiff with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Saturday.

"He was a war hero because he was captured," Politico reports Trump said at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa. "I like people who weren’t captured."

McCain, a former Navy pilot who spent 5.5 years in a Vietnamese prison, told The New Yorker earlier this week that Trump's rally in Phoenix "fired up the crazies."
