Amy Schumer, a comedian, responded last night to the news of a shooting in a Lafayette, Louisiana, theater during a screening of her film Trainwreck. Police say a 58-year-old white male opened fire at the Grand Theatre 16, where about 100 people had gathered to watch the film. Two were reportedly killed and at least nine injured. As police closed in, the gunman reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. "My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana," Schumer said on Twitter around 8 p.m., about an hour after the attack took place.
