Reversing Obama's policies, DNC will fund conventions with lobbying cash

President Obama is on his way out, and his fundraising preferences for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are too. The New York Times reported Thursday evening that the DNC will resume accepting donations from lobbyists and political action committees (PACs) to fund its conventions.

This marks a change from the rules put in place by the 2008 Obama team — rules which made it difficult for the DNC to fund its massive electoral convention in 2012. Obama himself has had decidedly mixed results in implementing his much-vaunted plans to limit lobbyist influence at the White House.
