If you're the kind of person who likes hot sauce with your hot sauce, you're in luck, assuming you can get to Louisiana's Avery Island. That's where Tabasco's new restaurant is opening Monday, the same salt dome where they make the sauce, The Advertiser reports.
Dubbed 1868 after the company's founding year, the new Cajun-themed restaurant will feature seven-spice chili dogs, jambalaya, and raspberry chipotle ice cream. In a few months, Tabasco will bring back their tours where visitors can see how the iconic hot sauce is made.
The visitor's center manager reminisced fondly about the good ol' hot sauce tour days: "They'd smell it. They'd choke. They'd cry."
