USA delays Mr. Robot finale over similarities to WDBJ7 shooting
USA Network has delayed the season finale of its hit freshman drama Mr. Robot over "a graphic scene similar in nature" to the tragic shooting death of two journalists in Virginia on Wednesday morning.
"Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode," said the network in a statement. "Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."
It's unclear exactly how closely the scene resembles the real-life shooting, but several TV critics who had seen the Mr. Robot finale in advance expressed support for USA's decision:
