Kansas State's band apologized for its hilariously phallic halftime show formation

The Kansas State Wildcats may have won their season opener against South Dakota on Saturday night, but that's not what anyone's talking about. At a Star Trek-themed halftime show, the marching band made an, um, interesting attempt at forming the iconic Starship Enterprise, meant to take down a rival University of Kansas Jayhawk.
The end result looked decidedly like an oversized penis.
Band director Frank Tracz apologized for the NSFW formation on Facebook, insisting there's absolutely no way the phallus was the intended result.

"If I am guilty of anything it would be the inability to teach the drill in a manner that these young people could have succeeded," he wrote, attaching a diagram of the intended formation.
