Serena Williams defeated Venus Williams Tuesday night at the U.S. Open, and will go up against Roberta Vinci Thursday in the semifinals.

Serena Williams won 6-2, 1-6, 6-3, and is now even closer to winning all four tennis majors in a calendar year. The match had the Williams sisters facing off against each other for the first time in New York since 2008, USA Today reports, and was Serena Williams' 26th straight win at the U.S. Open since the 2011 final. "[Venus] is the toughest player I've ever played in my life and the best person I know," she said. "It's going against your best friend and going against the greatest competitor in women's tennis."
