The Side Car Bicycle ($4,500) from Horse Cycles of Brooklyn will take you back in time. Not many people need to haul goods by pedal power anymore, but if you want a bike that can carry loads as large as a surfboard, you'll find the utility of this three-wheeler very attractive. While the entire frame is made of modern chromoly steel, the English-made Brooks saddle and gumwall tires say 1890. And it's always nice to know that if cars disappeared tomorrow, said Ionut Ungureanu at AutoEvolution, "the world of transportation would still be filled with all kinds of contraptions."
