Man in custody after allegedly shooting 3 in Alabama church

A suspect has been arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder after allegedly shooting his girlfriend, her baby, and a pastor in an East Selma, Alabama church on Sunday morning, The Selma Times-Journal reports.

All three victims are hospitalized in stable condition. The Oasis Tabernacle Church pastor is reportedly white, while Minter, his girlfriend, and her baby are black. Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said race was not an issue in the domestic dispute, The Associated Press reports.

James Minter, 26, could face life in prison for each charge.
