This is why so many celebrities wore green ribbons to the Emmy Awards

Eagle-eyed viewers of the 67th annual Emmy Awards have spotted a curious trend: a large number of celebrities — including Don Cheadle, Louis C.K., and newly minted Emmy winner Jeffrey Tambor — wearing green ribbons.

What does the green ribbon mean? Courtesy of the Natural Resources Defense Council, we have our answer. The green ribbon is designed to show support for "strong climate action" as part of the #DemandClimateAction movement.
