Jeb Bush plans to release his ObamaCare alternative soon
Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) plans to release his proposal for an ObamaCare alternative within the next three weeks, he said Monday in a Fox Business interview.
"We have to lower the cost of health care to lower the cost of health care insurance. And the ObamaCare approach is actually creating higher costs for the whole system, and it's suppressing wages," the presidential candidate said. "We want to create more income for more people, then we have to have a dramatic change, and I believe repealing ObamaCare, beyond that, we need to come up with an alternative that embraces conservative values."
Bush argued that keeping the Affordable Care Act in place as new regulations on businesses take effect in 2016 would be relegating the economy to 2 percent growth, instead of pushing for a "potential of an explosion of investment in our own country," that he said his proposal will offer.
