Clinton opts for SNL over LGBT gala, loses her keynote speaker slot to Biden

Hillary Clinton moved her feet and lost her seat to Joe Biden. When Clinton turned down an invitation to appear as a keynote speaker at the Human Rights Campaign annual gala to instead appear on Saturday Night Live, Vice President Joe Biden slipped into her spot to headline the event hosted by what The New York Times deems "the country's most powerful lesbian and gay rights group."
Biden already has strong support within the LGBT community should he decide to run for president. Out of any potential candidate, top Democrats think that Biden is the one who "could pull support away from frontrunner Hillary Clinton in large part due to his early support for same-sex marriage," The Hill reports.
While Clinton will be sitting down for breakfast with the group's leaders Saturday morning, it will be Biden taking the main stage Saturday night, offering him another opportunity to reach out to the community — and boost his already well-established favor with a key Democratic constituency.
