Even Donald Trump admits that Hillary Clinton 'did her job' at the debate
Hillary Clinton may have won the debate, but according to Donald Trump, that's only because Bernie Sanders "let her off the hook."
"In all fairness, like her or not, she did her job and they were very, very kind," Trump said on MSNBC's Morning Joe Wednesday. "All of these people, including Sanders should have been hitting Hillary hard." Trump seemed particularly dissatisfied with Sanders' decision to back Clinton up on her email scandal defense and his comment that "the American people are sick and tired of hearing about [Clinton's] damn emails."
If it were Trump in Sanders' shoes, he indicated that he would not have been so "extremely gentle" — or written off Clinton's private email server. "I think Bernie actually for the sake of a good sound bite let her off the hook," Trump said. "When you're losing, 'cause he is losing badly if you look nationally... you have to go a lot stronger."
