Lincoln Chafee raises speculation he's quitting presidential race with one tweet

Not even the 10 people who've donated a significant amount to Lincoln Chafee's often overlooked presidential bid think he has much of a chance. Well, on Thursday night, Chafee did spark a rare burst of interest in his campaign, but perhaps for the wrong reason:
Chafee has an impressive résumé — mayor, U.S. senator, governor — but "his poll numbers have been hovering around zero and he has only raised about $30,000 in his campaign," The New York Times notes. If Chafee does drop out tomorrow, he will be the second Democrat to do so in a week, following Jim Webb. So, is he quitting the race? "A spokeswoman for Mr. Chafee did not immediately return a request for comment on Thursday evening about Mr. Chafee's plans," says The Times' Alan Rappeport. Well, if Chafee can finally get the press interested in his campaign, if even for 12 hours, good for him.
