5 stabbed in University of California campus attack


University of California, Merced announced Wednesday that five people, some of whom were students, were stabbed in an early morning attack on campus. All are conscious, and two were airlifted for treatment via helicopter.
The suspect in the attack was shot and killed by UC Merced police and was described as being a male student in his twenties, CNN reports. Classes at UC Merced are canceled for the rest of the day.
