New York's attorney general has launched an investigation into Exxon Mobil for allegedly lying to investors about climate change's impact on the oil industry. The investigation will look at the company's previous support of allegedly anti-climate science groups, and whether Exxon warned investors about the long-term financial risks of climate change.

Exxon has yet to decide how to respond to the subpoena, though it has denied the allegations.
