A man and a woman were killed in a police operation Wednesday morning that targeted Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the man believed to be the mastermind of Friday's attacks in Paris, a police source told The Associated Press.
At least two people were also arrested during the raid on an apartment in St. Denis, a suburb north of Paris. Laura Haim with Canal Plus said on MSNBC that the woman died after detonating a suicide belt, and one suspect remained holed up in the apartment. Police have not released the names of any of the dead or detained suspects.
France's BFMTV is also reporting a civilian bystander was killed during the operation. At least three police officers were wounded.
