Jimmy Kimmel gets Han Solo and a suicidal Chewbacca to bury the fictional hatchet

Han and Chewie make up on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Almost everything about Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a closely held secret, so on Monday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel engaged in what might be called fan fiction. He had director J.J. Abrams and the Star Wars cast on the show, but before he spoke with them he played out a story where Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca fell out over what we're supposed to believe is Chewie's infidelity with Princess Leia (don't think about that too much) and now Chewie is going to jump off the roof of Kimmel's theater. Once more, it seems, a little Adele can solve everything, and thanks to Kimmel's involvement, Han and Chewbacca are friends again — if Kimmel doesn't ruin it. Watch that play out below — maybe it will tide you over until the next Star Wars trailer drops. Peter Weber
