Ronda Rousey has been recovering at home in Los Angeles since losing her UFC bantamweight title to Holly Holm in a November upset. But she didn't let that setback get in the way of hopping a plane and fulfilling a promise she made to Jarrod Haschert, a Marine and huge fan of hers.
Rousey attended Haschert's Marine Corps Ball on Friday, something she'd agreed to in September after he asked her in a Facebook video that went viral.
"After the fight, she never hesitated for a second whether or not she was going to attend," an unnamed source told ESPN. "She made a promise to a Marine and was going to keep that promise. It was as simple as that. That's Ronda."
