Larry Wilmore to host White House Correspondents' dinner
The next comedian making jokes at the expense of politicians and journalists at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner will be host of The Nightly Show Larry Wilmore, the WHCA announced Wednesday. "Larry's edgy, even provocative, brand of humor means he's certainly up to the task of skewering politicians of all ideological stripes, and we don't expect the nation's news media to escape unscathed either," WHCA President Carol Lee said in a statement.
The dinner, attended by the president, first lady, senior government officials, and members of the press, raises money for journalism scholarships and will be held April 30.
