The Force Awakens has already hit $1 billion in box office sales

In a record-setting 12 days, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has passed $1 billion in sales at the box office, The Associated Press reports.

The previous record, 13 days, was set in June by Jurassic World. The film had serious help from China. For context, The Force Awakens won't even open in China until Jan. 9. Another day, another milestone casually broken by J.J. Abrams & Co.
